The Leawood Civic Association was formed in 1965. As your Civic Association, not an HOA, our primary purpose is to protect your interests on issues impacting our neighborhood. We represent your interests to the Leawood Park Board and to the County. Recently we got the county to help re-landscape and irrigate the Jay Court and Bowles intersection. We handle the maintenance for the Jay Ct. entrance. We provide a neighborhood website and newsletter to keep residents up to date on issues and information about our neighborhood. The LCA also sponsors many neighborhood activities for adults and kids such as the Easter egg hunt, Leawood picnic, garage sales and clean-up day. There will be more emphasis adult activities and socials going forward. As a voluntary association our strength depends on residents joining and participating. Your money goes a long way to help keep our neighborhood a popular and fun place to live. Memberships start at $20/year with increased benefits for higher donations, see below. The value is tremendous. Your support of the Leawood community is expressed by becoming a paid member of the Leawood Civic Association. However we can also use your time, please let us know if you can help in any way as a volunteer or as an actual LCA Board member. The LCA Board welcomes your input and encourages your attendance at our board meetings. The LCA is more active and involved than ever! If you are interested in other civic or recreational activities please list contact us or attend our next meeting!
Thank you for your support! ~LCA Board |
